Hello Families,

I am Wendy A. Noakes, the Special Education Resource Teacher at Lake Nokomis Community School-Keewaydin Campus. I work with students in grades 6, 7, and 8 who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP). The resource students spend the majority of their school day with nondisabled peers in the general education setting. Additional support (reading, math, writing, behavior managements, organization, study skills etc...) are provided either in the general education classroom or in the resource room.

I started teaching at Keewaydin the fall of 2009. I attended Minneapolis Public School in elementary (Wilder Fundamental), middle (Sanford Middle School) and high school (Roosevelt). I graduated from Concordia University-St. Paul with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education ( grades 1-6). I completed the Special Education masters program at Bethel University in St. Paul with licensure in Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD), and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD).
