Improvements are coming
to Keewaydin Park


Construction is planned for 2022; now is the time to give your input!

The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) is pleased to announce an improvements project at Keewaydin Park, based on the park's master plan that was adopted in 2016, as well as available funds (see below).

Improvements will focus on construction of nature play, an adventure playground with a climbing/bouldering element - the first of its kind in the Minneapolis park system - and decommissioning the existing wading pool. Construction is planned for 2022.

Everyone is invited to find out more about the project and give input at one of the community engagement events listed below, or by taking the online community survey

Keewaydin Park improvements are funded by NPP20, a historic agreement between the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) and the City of Minneapolis. NPP20 helps address racial and economic equity across 160 neighborhood parks and provides $11 million annually to maintain, repair and replace facilities.
