Hello and welcome to Lake Nokomis Community School – Wenonah Campus. My name is Brittany Fisher, and I am thrilled to be working with your Kindergartner this 2019-2020 school year! We are going to have an exciting year filled with learning and growing! We will spend our days together focusing on social emotional learning, reading, math, science, and social studies. Your child will also participate in Art, Gym, & Music specialists weekly.

I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education in 2013. I then obtained my master’s degree in differentiated instruction though Concordia University in spring of 2017. This will be my 8th year teaching in Minneapolis! I spent my student teaching year at Elizabeth Hall in North Minneapolis, 5 years at Andersen Community School in Minneapolis, and this year will be my 2nd year at Wenonah!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. My husband and I have two dogs, a cat, and a sweet boy named Jaxtyn. We enjoy camping on weekends, going to the cabin, and spending time on my parents boat in Red Wing during the summer. In the winter we like to ice fish and snowmobile. We are always up to an adventure!

Please feel free to contact me at any time you may have questions, comments, or concerns about your child this year. My email address is: Brittany.Fisher@mpls.k12.mn.us
