Special Education Resource Teacher and Autism Team Member

My name is Leah Wright (Ms. Leah to the students) and I have been lucky enough to work at Wenonah for close to 10 years.  My licensures are in Specific Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders, and I have worked in a variety of settings over my career with Minneapolis Public Schools.  Currently, I work across grade levels with students who may need extra support in reading or math, a daily check in to plan their school day out successfully, more attention in the general education classroom to complete assignments, or social skills support to take advantage of their school environment.  In addition I have the pleasure of working with our building Autism Team as a part time case manager with some of our 2nd grade students.

Two of my daughters are students at LNCS, one at each campus, so I am a parent in our school community as well as a staff member.  In addition to spending time with my family, in my time away from school I love cooking and baking, reading, and watching college hockey.
